Goodman Fielder Freezer

project preview

Kaicolo Consultancy was proud to oversee and manage the successful execution of an industrial freezer construction project for Goodman Fielder at their Lautoka facility. This initiative was part of Goodman Fielder’s strategic investment to enhance cold storage capacity and ensure optimal preservation of their wide range of food products. The project’s main objective was to deliver a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient freezer unit capable of meeting growing demand while aligning with strict food safety and quality standards.

what we do

From the early planning stages, Kaicolo Consultancy worked closely with Goodman Fielder’s operational and engineering teams to define project specifications, layout requirements, and performance expectations. A full feasibility assessment and site evaluation were conducted to ensure that the new freezer would seamlessly integrate with existing infrastructure.

Liaising with contractors

Our team led the coordination of architectural design, mechanical and electrical system planning, and compliance reviews to meet industry regulations and safety protocols.

During the construction phase, Kaicolo Consultancy managed all aspects of the project, including contractor selection, procurement of materials, scheduling, and on-site supervision. We ensured that the freezer was built using high-quality insulation panels, reliable refrigeration systems, and robust structural elements to guarantee durability in a tropical climate. Emphasis was placed on energy efficiency and automated temperature controls to reduce long-term operational costs and ensure consistent performance.

The project was delivered on time and within budget, with rigorous quality checks and commissioning protocols in place before handover. The new freezer has significantly improved Goodman Fielder’s storage capacity in Lautoka, reduced product spoilage risk, and contributed to their goal of streamlining supply chain operations. Kaicolo Consultancy is proud to have played a key role in bringing this critical infrastructure project to life, reinforcing our commitment to delivering practical and high-standard engineering solutions across Fiji’s food and logistics sectors.
